Ethnic Cleansing Of Palestine – Canadian Youth Invited To Enter National Essay Contest 02/03/08
This contest is being held in response to the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the state of Israel within Palestine.
Five awards will be given. The first-place prize is $1,000; the second prize $750 and the third to the fifth are $500 each.
In addition, all winners will receive a complimentary copy of the book, “The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine” by Israeli historian, Prof. Ilan Pappe.
Requirements: – Contestants must write a 900-1200 word essay, in English or French, on the ethnic cleansing of Palestine during one of the historical eras listed below.
– Each contestant may submit a maximum of two essays.
– All entries must include the writer’s name, address, phone number, email address, age, gender, and secondary school or university attended.
– Entries are to be submitted electronically to any of the email contact addresses of the three organizations listed below.
Deadline: – All entries must be received by 12:00 noon on April 30, 2008.
Winners will be announced on May 10, 2008.
